The Hotels.com Hotel Price Index returned for its third successful year as our regular survey of the real prices paid by real travelers visiting any one of 60,000 hotel rooms in 3,500 destinations around the world.
The coverage was once again stellar: over 600 pieces in more-or-less every major media outlet not just in the UK, but also in the nine European countries in which we now run PR campaigns around the launch.
The report, centrally created by Seventy Seven and rolled out by our network in France, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland, helps to set Hotels.com as an expert on hotels around the world.
Coverage highlights in 2008 so far have included full-pages in no less than five UK nationals and bucket-loads of regional and online coverage. Most importantly, however, it has contributed to journalists acknowledging Hotels.com as one of the leading travel websites.
