The Hotels.com press office sees our team active day-in, day-out generating coverage for the world’s favourite hotels website.
We’ve arranged over 100 press trips in the past four years to deliver stand-out pages and DPS in the main national travel pages, consumer magazines and regional media. Our late deals are covered every week in a national travel section.
However, the rump of the activity sees us delivering new feature ideas to the travel pages.
The pieces have included articles on haunted hotels for Halloween, film-related stories on everything from James Bond to Sex and the City, “war breaks” across Europe, Christmas Markets across the continent and major sporting events.
We also piggy-back the news agenda – finding that there was a 300% increase in bookings to Kazakhstan post-Borat, a rise in searches for Greek Island as Mama Mia hit screens. We found that Germans were ripping off football fans during the World Cup and that Beijing hotels weren’t experiencing the surge in bookings they might have hoped for during the Olympics.
