Seventy Seven worked on the relaunch of the redesigned TfL.gov.uk website, London’s travel portal.
The overall campaign, which revolved around the theme of “personal journeys”, aimed to highlight the ways that the new site made it easier than ever to plan trips around the capital.
The core media relations around the relaunch of the site secured strong coverage across the trades and London news titles.
To bring the campaign to life, however, activity included a partnership with BBC London –involving online, radio and broadcast news –in which people were asked to send in photos of their own “personal journeys”. Over 1,000 people entered the competition, while coverage was secured across BBC London radio, the local one and six o’clock bulletins and online.
To emphasise the “walking tours”tool on the TfL site, we partnered with fitness expert, Jamie Baird. Together we created a “walk-in walking clinic”at London’s Victoria Station.
The TfL team, Jamie, and his treadmills (used to show commuters how to walk without causing back pain) were featured across the main London media –securing radio, TV and the front-page of BBC London’s website.
