RSPCA: Good Business Awards

See the work

The RSPCA’sGood Business Awards recognise best practice in animal welfare across a range of sectors, covering retail fashion and food, restaurants and cosmetics.

Our role, since the awards started three years ago, has been to build the profile of the awards among the key trade and consumer titles and to promote the celebrity awards ceremony held at the Natural History Museum each year.

We therefore work across the full range of media: generating coverage in leading consumer titles to demonstrate to business that there is real demand for ethical products, in the business pages of the nationals to drive awareness amongst senior management, in the trade titles across the fashion, grocery and fashion sectors.

We also work with past winners (including Marks & Spencer and The Body Shop), the celebrity judges (including designer Wayne Hemmingway and chef Richard Johnson) and tap into the growing social trend towards ethical consumerism.

Our campaign has seen us sign-up leading trade titles SPC, Drapers Record, Restaurant Magazine and The Grocer to become campaign partners. Coverage highlights have covered the range of news and lifestyle media from BBC Radio 5, The Wright Stuff to The Independent, The Times, The Guardian and Psychologies and Cosmopolitan.

The 2008 Awards generated the highest volumes of quality coverage and attracted a record number of entries.
