E&J Gallo Winery is the world’s largest family-run wine business and is the second largest in its field globally.

To communicate the brand’s family status, and the commitment to winemaking craft, the land the family owns and the authenticity and heritage of the Gallo Family Vineyards name, the Seventy Seven team uses a range of media relations activities to generate coverage for the brand across the media.

Using interviews with Gallo family members Joe and Gina Gallo has delivered to showcase coverage across the nationals, including The Sunday Times (a front-page special report piece with a full-page devoted to the profile in the paper).

There have been four full-page profiles have appeared in national media, including articles in the Daily Telegraph, the Financial Times, The Guardian and a cover-story in the Independent Traveller pages of the Independent on Sunday.

Our product team delivers coverage around set-piece mini-campaigns targetting the main consumer titles, picking up on consumer trends, changing tastes, calendar hooks and food and wine pairings. It’s not rocket science, but the team’s strong contacts with the media mean that we are used time and again over the competition.

Alongside our consumer work, we also support the E&J Gallo team with trade media relations to hit the leading grocery, on and off-trade titles with the key Gallo messaging.
